Collection: ferdinand Softies

Socks are the most underrated item in the wardrobe: bought in five-packs, without a second thought, yet worn every single day. The Czech brand ferdinand was born from exactly this disproportion in autumn 2016, and Salvátor Šoška, who launched it with creative Jakub Janošík, was sixteen at the time. Their approach is design-led from start to finish: the sock as a fully fledged product with its own texture, colour palette and material reasoning, not a filler accessory. They are sewn in Czechia, which for this category is not a given but a statement. Most of the sock market runs on Asian high-volume; ferdinand keeps production at home and with it control over the knit quality that decides whether a sock holds its shape after a year of washing. The range runs from quiet basics through bold patterns to a merino line for winter. Ferdinand shows that even the smallest wardrobe category can carry craft and opinion. And that the difference between a sock and a good sock hits you the moment you take your shoes off at someone's house.
