Collection: YKRA

YKRA was born in Budapest and sews rucksacks following the patterns of old mountaineering and scouting gear: sturdy cotton canvas, leather details, metal buckles and straps instead of plastic clips. It is precisely the fidelity to the archetype that makes YKRA more than a retro game — these constructions were used in the mountains for decades because they worked and could be fixed with a penknife, and it is exactly that repairable simplicity the brand brings back. Production stays in Hungary, at a small scale and under direct oversight, so canvas, seams and leather match what Central European craft should look like. Visually, YKRA rucksacks are unmistakable: they look as though someone found them in the attic of a mountaineering grandfather, only with colours and details for today. And they age exactly that way — the canvas picks up patina, the leather darkens, the rucksack becomes yours. YKRA is the Hungarian contribution to the quiet Central European renaissance of craft: things with a mountain pedigree, a city life and the ambition to end up in an attic one day. After decades of service, as is proper.
