Collection: ENAMEL Copenhagen

ENAMEL Copenhagen makes jewellery that is worn, not hidden away. The Copenhagen brand was founded in 2012 by self-taught Marie Rantzau, and its signature became hand-painted coloured enamel — a material jewellery had long filed under nostalgia: small colour fields on earrings and pendants that act as the full stop of an outfit. Around the enamel she builds gold-plated recycled silver and shapes rooted in the Danish school: delicate, stackable, everyday. The prices are set so that jewellery is bought by mood, not by occasion, and that is exactly how it is meant to be used: worn into the shower of life, layered, combined, added to piece by piece. Copenhagen shows through in the approach to the range as well — rolling collections instead of grand seasonal gestures, staples that can be added to over years. ENAMEL is the answer to the question of why jewellery should sit in a case waiting for a holiday. It has no reason to. Everyday life is an occasion too, and a colourful dot on the ear can serve as the reminder.
